Mien dong, also known as canna starch noodles or glass noodles, are a type of noodle made from the edible canna plant (Canna edulis Ker). These noodles are a traditional specialty of Vietnam. They are commonly called miến dong in Vietnamese, which translates to “canna noodles”.
